Designer and illustrator Charlotte Hewson launched her bespoke Wedding Stationery design studio in 2003. Since then Chartula Studio have gained an awsome reputation for beautiful high quality Wedding Stationery.
Chartula Studio is probably best known for its exquisite laser cut designs in the Fairytale, Fleurette and Petite Fleurie collections, and equally so for its gorgeous floral range, celebrating some of the most beautiful flowers in a range of stunning colours and sizes.
Within every Chartula design there is something beautiful and inspirational with intricate cut out designs incorporating flowers and butterflies or romantic Rococo swirls and twirls. The English countryside also plays a big part with daisies and meadow flowers, delicate English roses, and exotic Lilies mixed with wild Orchids.
Veil & Train caught up with Charlotte at this February’s (2009) Designer Wedding Show and found out about her latest ‘Chartula Create’ collection of DIY stationary in three gorgeous styles: Butterfly Kiss, Fleur Folly and Fleur Heart – each available in a rainbow of colours, including lavender, bluebell cream, fuchsia pink, sorbet yellow and pale pistachio.
Charlotte explained that the new range is perfect for brides on a budget, and can be adapted for invitations, menus, order of service and thank you cards. The stationary items all include matching or contrasting ribbons, insert cards and envelopes.
